Position Summary

We are looking for people with the right blend of skills, education, experience and attitude to join our Black-Box Exploratory Testing team.  We are expanding and need someone to help lead us into the future.  Our test methodologies focus on identifying risks, finding bugs and producing better results, while encouraging learning, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity to get the job done.  This is an opportunity to further your testing skills and knowledge as you manage the testing effort and explore new techniques and technologies to help keep the testing effort fresh and effective.

• Show off and develop great Testing skills
• Develop and manage the Testing Strategies to meet the priorities, coverage and schedules required to help achieve the highest business value for the company
• Demonstrate leadership and professionalism in the quality of your work
• Coach junior team members and help maintain high quality work standards
• Keep abreast of the latest technologies and techniques and be willing to try new things out
• Lead the Test Automation scripting effort to complement manual intelligence-driven testing efforts
• Show initiative and Have fun while getting the job done

Qualifications

• Knack for breaking software. You enjoy testing and have fun exploring systems
• Test Designing skills. Willing to go above and beyond the testing you have done before
• Ability to observe what's going on and to notice what others miss
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• University degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent. A commitment to continuing education by attendance at conferences, workshops, self-study, etc.
• A minimum of 3 years software testing experience, with some of that in a leadership role
• Test automation experience - i.e. through direct scripting, participation or management of the effort

Assets

• Accounting or other Financial Industry experience
• Prior Web-based testing experience, especially in areas of Usability, Security or Performance
• Experience working with relational databases (MS-SQL, Oracle)
• Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance and Software Development methodologies
• QA/Testing Community involvement - possibly through participation in discussion forums, publication, or giving presentations related to Software Testing or Quality Assurance
• Hobbies related to computers or technology
