Andrew Abouchar
Chairman
Andrew Abouchar (TechCapital): a founder and Partner of Tech Capital Partners where he focuses on investment opportunities in the enterprise software and systems, semiconductor and cleantech sectors. In 2001, Andrew partnered with Tim Jackson to create Tech Capital Partners Inc., a venture capital firm based on early-stage technology businesses. Andrew has over 13 years of experience as an investor in emerging technologies. Andrew serves as Chair of the Idea to Innovation Investment Review Committee of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and is a member of the Accelerator Investment Review Committee of the Ontario Centers of Excellence (OCE). Andrew holds Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Waterloo. He is a Certified Corporate Director, a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Accountant.

Jeff Fedor
Jeff Fedor: the founder of several startups, he focuses on technical leadership and product strategy. He is the co-founder of ParkVu Inc. and currently serves as a Director of Covarity Inc. Most recently, Jeff provided consulting services to AideRSS where he focused on product strategy and product management. At AideRSS, he developed and managed relationships with strategic partners and also led the design and successful launch of the AideRSSGoogleReader Extension. Throughout his career Jeff has contributed to many XML standards bodies and was both Vice-Chair and Chair of the XBRL GL International Working Group. In addition, he was a representative of the inaugural XBRL Standards Board.

Rod Foster
Covarity Inc.
Rod Foster: has over 20 years experience in software sales, marketing and operations with Ironside Technologies, Bay Networks, Crowntek, and GE Canada. Rod holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. In addition to serving as President and CEO of Covarity, Rod is a board member with the Better Business Bureau of Mid-Western and Central Ontario and on the Board of Governors of the Grand River Hospital Foundation.

John Kemp-Welch
(BDC Venture Capital)
John Kemp-Welch (BDC Venture Capital) joined BDC Venture Capital in January 1997. He has over nineteen years of investment management experience with early stage technology companies. From 1987 to 1997, John held progressively senior investment management positions at Innovation Ontario Corporation, a venture capital firm involved in early stage technology companies. From 1981 to 1986, John was an investment manager with the Ontario Energy Corporation, which invested in a variety of oil, gas, and energy-related technology companies. John Kemp-Welch holds Bachelor degrees in both Economics and Geography from McMaster University.

James Lam

James Lam (James Lam & Associates): recognized as a pioneer of enterprise risk management, his work has been profiled as best practice in numerous US bank success stories. He is the author of the bestselling book Enterprise Risk Management: From Incentives to Controls, and has been published extensively, with over 50 articles and book chapters currently to his credit. James has received several distinctive recognitions, including the inaugural Financial Risk Manager of the Year Award from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He was appointed a senior research fellow at Beijing University in 2004. James has lectured at Harvard Business School as the subject of a HBS case study, and has taught graduate-level courses in risk management and advanced derivatives at Babson College as an adjunct professor of finance.

Jim Whitaker
(VentureLink)
Jim Whitaker (VentureLink) joined the Investment Advisor in March 2003 after more than 8 years working with Ventures Canadian Fund Inc. where he led the Information Technology Team and was a member of the Management Investment Committee. While at Working Ventures Jim led investments or acted as Board member in approximately 20 companies. Prior to joining Working Ventures, Jim worked in many practice areas at Ernst & Young providing financial advisory services to mid-market companies in a wide range of industries. Jim is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.

Andrew Pinkerton
(GrowthWorks)
Andrew Pinkerton (GrowthWorks): an Investment Manager focusing on information technology investments. Prior to joining GrowthWorks in 2003, Andrew worked in the Institutional Equity Research Groups at Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group, Deutsche Bank Technology Group and PaineWebber Technology Group in San Francisco, California. Andrew has also worked in the Investment Banking Division of Alex, Brown & Sons in Boston, Massachusetts. Andrew graduated Cum Laude from Harvard College and also graduated with an MBA from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto.
